With the help of the Gulf Oil Labs...

While sifting through the documentation for this restoration several rare and significant items came to light.

This letter from the Chevrolet Zone office to Don Yenko of Yenko Chevrolet references the development help offered by Gulf Research through Yenko. It also marks the start of Grady Davis' involvement in the Grand Sport program.

One of the interesting variations of the Grand Sport motor was this dual air meter, fuel injected small block.

A Corvette engine undergoes testing at Gulf Research Labs.

This test sheet notes (in red pencil) that this was an "especially prepared high speed operation test of higher compression heads on lightweights experimental twin air meter 327 FI engine". Notice also that the engine was run for 6 hours in this session.

This hand-drawn dyno chart shows the "rear wheel H.P." of the dual air meter configuration.
